About The Plantation House

The Plantation House is a breathtaking estate set on five meticulously groomed acres located just minutes away from downtown Austin, Texas. The Plantation House creates a whimsical feeling of southern charm and hospitality providing a welcoming and comfortable feel. The interior is picture perfect, yet intimate and personable. The specialized architecture provides an incomparable feel of the great South, because we all know the South sings comfort and "y'all come in and stay a while!"

Each suite has its very own personality, but with similar design. We believe that our traditional style house does not have to lack the trends and fashions of today. Think of a classic soul, one that is classic in design and style. We offer rooms with hardwood flooring, beautiful soft paint colors, sunlight in every room, amazing bedding and comfy mattresses.

Enjoy the taste of Southern cooking, "Luey Style".
During your stay, your menu might consist of eggs and crispy bacon, buttermilk biscuits and hot sausage gravy, banana pancakes and hot syrup, waffles with fresh berries and cream, french toast with sprinkles of cinnamon and powdered sugar, just to name a few. Always included are Greek yogurt with fresh berries and homemade vanilla granola, a bountiful basket of fresh fruits and endless hot coffee to jumpstart your adventures.

Front Porch

The ultimate spot to relax, we feel, is our sweeping veranda. Relax while rocking away in the wooden rockers or sipping on a tall glass of sweet tea and viewing the gorgeous scenery.

Parlor

The NYC Parlor is a fantastic room to enjoy conversation behind French doors. Enjoy the parlor while drinking your morning coffee, afternoon happy hour, or anytime your heart desires.

Great Room

The Great Room offers leather couches, comfy pillows, and luscious throws that are just waiting for you to snuggle up by the fireplace.
Luanna and Norris Cole

Meet The Innkeepers

Norris and Luanna Cole are small town transplants from the Texas Panhandle to Big Ole Austin. They moved to Austin in 1985 and have loved it ever since. They are the proud parents of three amazing kids and spouses and two beautiful grandchildren. They have been happily married for 36 years.  
They purchased the Big House in 1994 to raise their kids in the country. The Coles transformed their property into a premiere wedding venue known as The Plantation House in 1998. Over 1000 weddings have been hosted by the Cole family ever since. After much prayer and discussion, the journey of the Plantation House weddings ended and the new beginning of the Plantation House Boutique Inn began as a dream.
We are so excited about this time in our lives to make that dream become reality and feel there is a whole lot more love to give. We adore meeting new friends, seeing old friends and love having family to come stay with us.
You'll find Norris up early maintaining the grounds, doing repairs and sitting in a rocker having coffee. Luanna will be making breakfast, taking care of your needs to create a home away from home! And watch out, Luanna (also known as Luey), talks a lot! Norris says he can't get a word in edge wise!
